Buffalo Region

Buffalo was first selected as an All America City and Community in 1996. The Buffalo and Niagara Region was honored in 2002.

Known as the "City of Good Neighbors", Buffalo is the second largest city in New York State, yet it has a small town feel. With friendly people, good authentic food (c hicken wings, beef on weck), a rich array of cultural activities (ranking among the top 25 cities nationwide), professional sports, theater district, parks, music and art venues, and festivals, Buffalo is sure to have something for everyone. Overlooking the Niagara River, Buffalo is just across the Peace Bridge from the Canadian province of Ontario and a 20-minute drive from Niagara Falls. See what others visiting Buffalo had to say....

Buffalo has four distinct seasons, with beautiful summers and moderate winters (don't believe everything you hear about the weather). Buffalo averages more warm days than days with snow on the ground. Buffalo also receives a higher percentage of sunshine - and significantly less rain - throughout the summer months than Washington, D.C., Raleigh and Atlanta.
